just realised the captain only let the other ghosts refer to him as captain probably only partially because the war and his rank was everything that mattered to him and also because the last thing he heard before he died was the love of his life saying his name in the most loving and gentle way and he probably wanted to keep that memory and it also probably would feel way too intimate for any of the other ghosts to say his name after that so he just tells them to call him captain.

Everybody is afraid of something.

This is how, after a very long, and very complicated journey, you ended up walking around him in the evenings in nothing but your panties and sports bra, always stopping in front of the mirror to take a look at yourself, to get used to the idea of looking good enough for your standards.

Different anon but i like the idea of an older satoru finding love! He thinks that it's just not in the cards for him and that's ok, he gets to see his students live, what more could he ask for? But then he meets you, maybe at the school, where he still hangs around, or maybe he meets you while taking a walk because now he has the time to take it slow. you are a spitfire and he is smitten, he thinks everything he went through was so he could meet you

this is the cutest thing ever T^T he’s made peace with it, he thinks he’s going to spend the rest of his days alone but it’s oddly calming to him. after all that went down he is there to watch his students grow out of childhood and step into adulthood, some of them building their own family, having kids and he’s there through each milestone throwing silly parties for them. he’s really good with their kids! he is happy. he saw his dream come true and now he’s watching it expand even further.

shoko probably occasionally asks him if he’s got no intention of settling down now that he’s retired which he shrugs off lightheartedly saying this kind of life isn’t for him after all. at the end of the day he still doesn’t feel as human enough to lead such a normal life.

but then out of the blue, you happen to him and make him eat his words. he tries to resist at first, perhaps even falsely puts himself in denial for as long as he can (he’s not stupid, deep down he knows what’s going on but it’s also the first time he is in that kind of situation. even he can panic in the face of love alright) but those damn feet of his won’t stop taking him to you.

you pull him by the heart. you make him nervous. you make him sweat and worry about his appearance. you make him practice in front of the mirror how he’s going to ask you out. you make him so human. he is sure the only reason he survived and endured all of it was for this moment. he thinks maybe if it’s you leading that kind of life would be good for him.
